Perhaps the local culture is most richly expressed through the works of the aristis of Les Saintes, whose works reflect the archipelagos architecture, its reputation as home to the Caribbeans most renowned fishermen and the beauty of the islands colorful landscapes. The reverence of the Santoise people for nature can be seen in their protection of the beautiful iguanas and little goats that roam over the island of Terre-de-Haut.
