Travelers should be able to find most of the things they need in the interesting shops of Grand-Bourg, St. Louis or Capesterre. Marie-Galante does not have a large number of boutiques for tourists, but throughout the island local crafts and, of course, fine rums can be found. The open air market in Grand-Bourg offers a more traditional shopping experience.

Most shops are open Monday - Friday from 9:00 to 13:00, then close for a long lunch, reopening at 15:00 or 16:00 for several more hours. Some shops are also open on Saturday mornings.
